Balmangan Farm's Falling Footprint
Balmangan Farm of Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway, are making a number of changes to tackle Climate Change. As a nation, we are eating too much industrially processed meat, which is having a major impact on our production of carbon, and ultimately our health. The community at Balmangan Farm, led by Station House Cooking School believe we need to get back to eating less meat, but the right meat, which is being produced ethically and with a lower carbon footprint. The message from this community is that we must raise awareness on the types of meat we should be eating, moving away from industrialised meat, and instead supporting local farmers where quality can be assured.
